Reyes master closet: walls A-C.jpg
LaunchAI converts closet sketches and field measurements into CAD drawings. Create closet and garage layouts, cabinet sections and shop drawings. The drawing is built from the supplied measurements, notes and specifications. Unclear details are flagged for your team to review.
For designers, design coordinators and production managers at custom closet, pantry and garage storage companies
Your designers did six in-home consults over the weekend and they all came back the way they always do. Graph paper with each wall taped, a ceiling height, the door casing, an outlet circled, "attic hatch" with an arrow to nowhere. A wish list in the margin: "30 pr shoes, more LH, island?" A garage sketch with eight cabinets on the back wall, slatwall on two bays and "floor slopes" written next to the overhead door. And a text from Mrs. Reyes at 10 p.m.: "actually can we do drawers instead of the shelves."
So someone opens ClosetPro, or Cabinet Vision Closets, or Mozaik, and builds every wall again. Width, system height, baseboard, returns, obstacles. Then the sections: double hang, long hang, shelves, drawers, shoe shelves, each one sized so the panels and the openings add up to the wall. Rod heights to your standard. Price it, render it, send the proposal. When it sells, it goes to production for the cut list and the hardware pick list, and that's where a missed baseboard or a 1/4" of wall turns into a panel that won't stand up.
It's the same hour per design, and it's the hour your designers would rather spend in the next customer's closet. In the spring and before the holidays, it's the hour that decides whether the proposal goes out while the customer still remembers you.
What the job looks like today
Walls, returns, obstacles and a wish list written sideways.
Width, height, baseboard and every switch, by hand.
Sized so panels and openings add up to the wall, again.
Render, price, PDF, send, then redo it after the 10 p.m. text.
The missed baseboard turns up when the panels are already cut.
Where it goes wrong
Every one of these looks fine in the rendering and shows up on install day.
Floor-based panels need a notch over the baseboard, every one of them. Skip the height and the gables stand 1/2" off the wall, or the installer is notching melamine in the customer's bedroom.
A 72" opening with 6" returns is an 84" wall inside. Design to the opening and you waste the corners; design to the wall and the shelves won't go through the door.
An inch and a half over twenty feet, toward the overhead door. Base cabinets on a sloped slab need leveling legs or a base, and the wall cabinets above have to line up anyway.
An outlet at 16" or a switch at 48" is fine behind a hang section and a problem behind a drawer stack. The sketch circles it; the design has to move around it.
Why it's still manual
Closet companies have great design software. It starts with an empty wall that someone has to type.
Your CAD and quoting software
Waits for someone to type
ClosetPro, Cabinet Vision Closets, Mozaik and KCD make sections, renderings and cut lists fast, once the walls and obstacles are in. Getting the measure sheet into them is still manual.
Generic AI and OCR models
Confidently wrong
A chat model reads "base 5 1/4?" as 51.25, turns "DH | SH | LH" into three random letters, and when a wall has no ceiling height it just picks one. It won't tell you which numbers it made up.
Image-to-CAD converters
Traces lines, not intent
Image-to-CAD converters trace the box the designer drew. A closet sketch isn't to scale, and the converter has no idea that the circle was an outlet or the arrow was the attic hatch.
Measuring apps and configurators
Only if everyone uses them
Online closet planners and configurators are built for the homeowner choosing a style, not for the company that has to measure, build and install it to the 1/16".
How the agent does it
LaunchAI converts the sketch and its measurements into CAD geometry, applies your drawing standards and prepares the related order information. Missing dimensions and unclear notes are flagged for your team to review.
Sketches, photos, texts and voicemails, each value with a confidence score.
Sections, panels and returns must add up to the measured wall before anything is placed.
In your ClosetPro or Cabinet Vision, with your rod heights, depths and notch rules.
No baseboard height? It drafts the text to the designer instead of guessing.
The designer checks the flagged value and the layout, then sends the proposal.
Caught at the desk
Today the order bounces when someone hits save. The agent runs the same checks first, fills what it can from a trusted source, and brings you only the one thing that needs a person.

With the agent
Sections fit the wall
27-1/2" + 30" + 35-3/4" + four 3/4" panels = 96-1/4".
Rod heights
Double hang at 81" and 40-1/2"; long hang at 69" (your defaults).
Obstacles cleared
Outlet at 16" AFF lands behind the double hang, not the drawers.
Baseboard unclear
Written "base 5 1/4?". Gables notched 5-1/4" x 3/4"; confirm before cutting.
Latest change applied
Text at 10:12 PM: drawers replace the lower shelves in section 2.
Parts and price
4 panels, 9 shelves, 3 drawer boxes, 3 rods; priced from your price list.
Human review
The paperwork on one side, the agent's drawing on the other, and every value it read in between, with the one it's unsure of called out.
Approval you asked for
The agent built wall A from the consult sketch and fitted three sections with your rod heights. One baseboard height needs confirmation.
Agent suggests: Approve after confirming the 5-1/4" baseboard. Sections and panels add up to the 96-1/4" wall, and the 10 p.m. drawer change is in.

FAQ
Yes. LaunchAI agents use your design software through the screen, with your designers' logins, the way a person would. There's no plug-in or import to set up.
It builds the walls accurately and lays out the sections the designer sketched, using your standards for rod heights, depths and panel rules. The design, and the conversation with the customer, stay with your designer.
It never makes up a dimension. It flags the gap, drafts the question to the designer, and holds that wall until someone answers.
Your designer approves the proposal, and production approves the release. Nothing goes to the saw or the CNC until a person signs off, and every value shows where it came from.
Yes. Garage cabinets, slatwall bays and overhead racks, and pantry and laundry walls, all from the same kind of in-home sketch, with slab slope and door tracks treated as obstacles.
No. The agent works in whatever program your designers use today, on your machines. If a person can do it at the desk, the agent can do it at the desk.
